Night Guards

Many patients have issues with unconsciously grinding or clenching their teeth and night, which can cause pain and teeth damage. Teeth grinding and clenching can wear down or even crack teeth and often causes jaw pain and headaches. Night guards fitted to the patient’s teeth can help resolve the issue and provide a barrier between the top and bottom teeth to prevent the negative impacts of teeth grinding and clenching.

Retainers

Retainers are used particularly by patients with a history of orthodontic dentistry to prevent their teeth from shifting back to misalignment and creating a need for further orthodontic care. Sometimes teeth still want to move about on their own after braces come off, so retainers are used to prevent that from happening. The type of retainer needed depends on the patient’s individual needs and can vary from a simple wire glued to a few teeth to a large retainer fitted with plastic plates and wires.
